Reviews

Netflix might be the oldest streaming platform with an extensive content catalog, but its competitor, Hulu, launched in 2007, became the most popular with its vast catalog of spell-binding original content like The Murders Before The Marathon, The Handmaid’s Tale, A Small Light, Little Fires Everywhere, Nine Perfect Strangers, etc.

What is Hulu?

It is currently the top streaming service mesmerizing viewers by dropping new movies and shows weekly. In addition, this Disney Plus-owned streaming service includes more mature content and has not yet released a statement to grow globally. Hulu: Features and Improvements

The best feature of Hulu is that its ad-supported tier is the cheapest among all the other streaming platforms. Plus, it offers the biggest Disney Plus bundle deal that has three tiers to choose from.

What’s more, you can create around six profiles with a single account, including a kid’s account that will prevent them from sneaking into the adult content. However, when it comes to simultaneous streams, Hulu provides us with only two.

In addition, what makes Hulu a strong contender is its content library consists of 40,000 hours of on-demand content, along with next-day content streaming rights, 100+ Hulu Originals, and recent and classic movies.

It also offers online downloading, but only if you purchase its no-ads Hulu tier. Moreover, Hulu is compatible with almost all streaming devices and allows you to stream its on-demand content at 1080p HD to 4K UHD.

If we talk about its improvements, Hulu has been redesigned! It has finally brought sidebar navigation and has arranged shows and movies in a traditional grid. The streaming platform looks pretty much like the other streaming applications but the navigation and content discovery has become effortless.

How to Subscribe to and Watch Hulu in Australia

To watch Hulu in Australia, you will have to subscribe to a top-tier VPN provider like ExpressVPN. It will break all the geo-restrictions to help you access Hulu in your territory without an issue. So this is how you will do it!

1. Subscribe and install a premium VPN provider; we recommend using ExpressVPN.
2. Fire up the VPN app, log in by entering credentials, and connect to the US server.

4. Search for your favorite content to watch it in Australia.

Hulu uses a robust anti-VPN technology so do not think about using a free VPN service. Moreover, if you want to learn how to sign up and pay for Hulu in Australia, read “How to Pay for Hulu Outside the US Without a US Credit Card?”

Offers 30-day money-back guarantee!

Verdict: Is Hulu Worth It?

Hulu has stellarly managed to carve its niche; however, the only negative aspect is its reach. It is only a US-based streaming platform and is unavailable in other countries, which automatically makes its competitors a winner.

But its ad-supported tier offers the best value for streaming the endless content you wish to binge-watch. With this tier, you can also watch all the latest episodes and new shows the following day they debut. In addition, Hulu Plus Live TV merges cable TV and cord-cutting streaming, but it is expensive and you can not share it with other family members.

The other best thing about Hulu is its Disney Bundle which unlocks massive content, but it is slightly more expensive than the standard Netflix plan.

Hulu offers unique content and features, and we think it is worth subscribing to watch all the latest on-demand shows!

Netflix, Stan, and Amazon Prime Video are all great, but the best libraries of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are the American libraries and they aren’t available in Australia. This can be a pain if you want to watch your favorite shows but don’t want to deal with the hassle of VPNs or proxies.

Luckily, there is an all-access Australian streaming service that has everything you could want. It’s called 10 All Access, and it has a selective library of some great TV shows, movies, and documentaries. Plus, it’s completely legal and affordable in Australia.

After CBS released its Australian version of 10 All Access, it started offering more genres for its Australian users. It included content from all Network 10 channels and 10 Play catch-up. It also includes a library of shows from Network 10, CBS, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, etc.

That said, you might’ve heard about how 10 All Access is becoming rebranded under the banner of Paramount Plus. This move comes after the service became available in Australia in 2021.

And the rebranding comes as part of a partnership between the services for their growing customer base.

It allowed the service to include a live TV component, allowing Aussies to watch channels like Channel 10, 10 Peach, 10 Bold, 10 Daily, and 10 Food. More importantly, it’s great news for Aussie subscribers, who now get the best of both worlds. Let’s take a look!

Pros and Cons of 10 All Access

Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and a slew of other streaming services offer content similar to 10 All Access. But for a monthly fee, you can watch an ever-growing library of movies and TV shows from other networks. So is it worth the price?

Pros

• A free 30-day trial before the subscription
• Excellent device compatibility
• Access all Network 10 and other content in HDR quality

Cons

• No 4k video/audio support
• Users cannot access any movies
• Downloading content offline is not supported
• A monthly renewable subscription is a hassle

10 All Access Price

There are a growing number of streaming services in the Australian market, and our 10 All Access is no exception. However, it can be hard to decide which service is right for you with different price points and features, especially if you want access to all of Network 10’s online programming.

But our contender 10 All Access is introducing a single pricing strategy of $9.99/month for each user. This way offers all-access memberships that give users access to their respective libraries of original programming and other Australian content.

10 All-Access Content

Content is the bread and butter of any streaming service. It’s what helps you attract and retain subscribers, and it’s one of the most important pieces of your overall growing customer base.

Well, due to the limited library of 10 All Access, you can still access the following content.

Universally Beloved Series

CBS’s 10 All Access is a streaming service that offers its users a variety of genres for its users. But the good thing about 10 All Access is that it offers content loved by people all over the world.

From hilarious comedy series like Good Wife to the heartwarming drama series The Living Room and The Bachelorette Australia, the streaming service has a show for everyone. Plus, new content is also expected to add in the future after it collaborates with Paramount Plus!

The Revival of Rom-Com

Netflix’s revival of the romantic comedy genre is a strong indication that the streaming giant is betting big on the emotional appeal of love stories. Likewise, 10 All Access has also followed suit by acquiring several romantic comedies to draw in new subscribers.

Some of the heartfelt titles on the platform include The Bachelor Australia, A Million Little Things, and Broke, which tug at the heartstrings of many people. Since the genre has struggled in recent years, it is great to see the service bringing it back.

Addictive True Crime Documentary

Netflix, Stan, and Foxtel all have their addictive true crime documentaries. But with 10 All Access Australia, you can even access TV shows based on them! From Why Women Kill, NCIS to Charmed, these are some of the most captivating TV shows out there.

With the new seasons of some of these shows being released all the time, it’s no wonder that so many people are obsessed with the crime genre. So if you’re looking for a new show to binge-watch, then this is the niche for you!

Local Productions

Channel Ten’s streaming service, 10 All Access, offers a range of local productions like Survivors that are exclusive to Australian TV shows. These include news programs, TV shows, lifestyle programs, classics, and kids’ programming.

Moreover, the content is tailored to local audiences and covers all the major cities in Australia. The service is available in both standard and high definition. And it can be streamed on a range of devices, including computers, mobile phones, and smart TVs.

Choose Your Own Adventure

10 All Access is an Australian streaming service that also offers its users the ability to choose their own adventure. This means that viewers can watch a selection of shows and then decide which episode they want to watch next.

This type of programming is perfect for streaming services, as it keeps viewers engaged and coming back for more. It also helps to set 10 All Access apart from other local streaming services in Australia.

10 All Access: Features and Improvements

10 All Access, an Australian streaming service, has been gaining a lot of traction lately. It offers a great selection of TV shows in high definition quality and a few unique features that make it stand out from the competition.

The first thing you’ll notice about 10 All Access is its design. It’s sleek and modern, making it easy to navigate. The home screen features a list of the latest shows and movies and a selection of curated content based on your interests.

But there are also some major drawbacks where they could make it work for its growing customer base in Australia. The platform has received mixed reviews since its debut, with some users noting its lack of features when compared to other streaming services like Netflix and Stan.

Nevertheless, 10 All Access does not support offline downloading and enclosed subtitles, which is a huge omission. This is because many people would like to have offline access to their content and the ability to have subtitles. This would save them the hassle of finding any other separate service.

Even so, 10 All Access has made several improvements since its launch. Most notably, it includes the addition of more genres for its Australian users. The platform also announced its intention to produce more Australian content soon.

Verdict: Is 10 All Access Worth It?

10 All Access is a streaming service in Australia with access to all of 10’s channels for $9.99 a month. This includes catch-up TV and on-demand content for Australian users. Yet, the service has been criticized for its high price tag and lack of exclusives.

But, it does offer a great range of content, including classics, drama, and entertainment. So whether or not 10 All Access is worth it depends on your needs and preferences. If you’re looking for a comprehensive streaming service with limited content, it’s worth considering.

But, if you’re looking for a library of unlimited TV shows and not to mention movies as well – Binge and Stan are providing much greater content at a fraction of the price.

A seven-day free trial is still available, requiring a credit card to sign up. Shudder stands out by offering original content tailored to the horror genre, unlike Amazon Prime Video Australia, which provides a broader range of content for a similar price.

In comparison, Disney+ and Max (formerly HBO Max) are priced at $13.99 and $16.99 USD per month respectively, while Netflix and Stan’s Standard Tiers cost $16.99 AUD and $14 AUD per month. These services offer a much wider variety of content beyond horror.

Hulu’s ad-supported plan is also priced at $7.99 USD monthly but features a more mainstream lineup of shows. Shudder, by contrast, offers an ad-free experience. Even Apple TV+ is more affordable at $6.99 AUD per month, but its content isn’t specialized for thriller fans.

For horror enthusiasts, Shudder remains one of the best value-for-money options. Whether for Halloween or year-round spooky entertainment, it’s a worthwhile subscription.

Shudder Content

In light of the many times we’ve mentioned the awesome content offered on Shudder Australia, it’s time to delve deeper.

While in Canada, it is available on Apple and Android devices and the web. In the UK, it is also available through an app on Apple, Android, and IOS devices.

Critically Acclaimed Movies

Shudder is a premium streaming service with a library that has over 400 titles, with new content added every week. Many movies in the library are critically acclaimed, have been nominated for, or won awards. Plus, they also complement Shudder’s massive library.

The names include The Babadook, Tigers Are Not Afraid, Cannibal Holocaust, Let the Right One In, and many other titles to browse.

Easy-to-digest Original Movies

Shudder is a streaming service for horror maniacs, and what makes Shudder unique is its original content. Shudder originals are movies that are made for the streaming service. They’re mostly shorter than traditional movies, and they’re meant to be easy to digest.

It makes them perfect for fans who want to watch something scary without committing to a dragged, complicated movie. Its original films are particularly appealing. So we’re confident that titles like Revenge, DeadTectives, and Belzebuth will grab your attention.

Universally Beloved Series

Shudder, a streaming service devoted to horror and thriller has become one of the most beloved platforms in the horror genre.

While many streaming services offer horror content, none have been as successful as Shudder.

They tap into the psyche of horror fans and deliver universally precious content. These include the Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, Channel Zero, and Creepshow.

Revival of Rom-Com

Romantic comedies have been around since the early days of cinema, and their popularity has only grown in recent years. The genre was once considered cheesy and cliché, but it has been given a new life in recent times.

Shudder Australia, which specializes in horror movies and thrillers, has been branching out into other genres in recent months, including romantic comedies.

To kick-start their rom-com library, they have added the best and all-time favorite romantic classics and hoping to revive the genre on their platform.

Addictive True Crime Documentaries

Besides the critically acclaimed movies and beloved series, Shudder has some true crime documentaries that are very addictive. From serial killers to cults, Shudder has it all. The documentaries are fine productions and will keep you on the edge of your seat.

If you’re a fan of true crime, you’ll love Shudder’s content. Some of the best creepiest documentaries include Horror Noire: a History of Black Horror, Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, Lost Soul, etc.

Local Productions

Next on, Shudder’s local productions are some of the best in the service. Again, the quality of the productions is top-notch, and the stories are always engaging.

Mainly, these local productions result from collaboration with local filmmakers from all over the world. Thus, the filmmakers have a lot of creative control over the projects, and the result is always something unique and interesting.

Thus, Shudder’s local productions vary in style and genre, but all share one common theme: they’re all horrifying.

Choose Your Own Adventure

Shudder Australia offers a great selection of horror movies, creepy documentaries, and thrilling TV shows. But the best thing about Shudder is that it offers something different to its users – the ability to choose their adventure.

Users can select from various horror genres and then watch a curated selection of titles based on that genre. It also makes the experience more personal for users, as they can choose the types of horror movies and TV shows that they want to watch.

Shudder: Features and Improvements

Shudder is a horror movie streaming service meant for people who love the genre. Its niche content library serves the horror freaks well. Also, they won’t miss out on anything by getting lost in a library that doesn’t even interest them.

Besides its great content without ads, Shudder also has great features that make it stand out from the competitors. For starters, Shudder has an excellent user interface. It’s easy to find what you’re looking for, and you can browse through the various categories.

As a bonus, fans can leave a review. And they can rate each title out of five skulls, which is a unique feature. This site also offers trailers for all movies and TV shows, so you can get a taste of what you’re about to witness.

One of the major flaws that Shudder needs to improve is the lack of offline watching. This feature allows users to download titles to a few devices to enjoy them later when they are offline.

Shudder also needs to improve in another domain: simultaneous streams. Users can only use their accounts on one device at a time right now, which is not appealing.

Verdict: Is Shudder Worth It?

After reading this detailed review of the horror streaming platform, you might be able to decide whether Shudder deserves to be your streaming partner or not.

Yet, our verdict is that Shudder is worth it for horror fans. For Shudder offers a great selection of horror movies, TV shows, and documentaries, with new content, added.

There’s something for everyone on Shudder, whether you’re a fan of slasher movies, zombie flicks, or gothic horror. The service also offers exclusive content that is not accessible elsewhere.

Besides, if you only watch content from the horror genre rarely, getting another video-on-demand subscription would not be a good idea. Instead, we recommend that you take advantage of the seven-day free trial and make your own decision.

BINGE is a new streaming service created by Foxtel that is specifically for Australians. It offers a great selection of local and international content, and it’s affordable. The streaming service is available on desktop and mobile, and you can watch shows and movies offline too.

On that account, there’s no doubt that Netflix and Stan have had a monopoly on the streaming market for a while now, but looks like it’s about to change with the launch of BINGE. Moreover, it’s been gaining popularity because of its competitive price and a good selection of content.

Yet, the service is still in its early stages, so it doesn’t have the same selection as Netflix or Stan. But its low price and lack of ads make it a strong competitor in the streaming market. Son if Binge can keep up the momentum, it could give Netflix and Stan a run for the money.

Pros and Cons of Binge

Netflix, Stan, and Amazon Prime Video are some of the most popular streaming services in Australia. But after the launch of Binge, it has its pros and cons, which can make it difficult to decide which one is right for you.

Pros

• HBO, FX, and a variety of content are available
• More reliable than Foxtel Now
• Easy-to-navigate user interface
• Affordable price milestone

Cons

• No 4K support for video quality
• No parental controls

These annual plans offer savings equivalent to four free months compared to monthly subscriptions.

Binge Content

Binge’s content includes a wide variety of genres, catering to all types of viewers. It also offers a wide range of Australian content, which is great for locals. Some of the content features are elaborated as below:

Critically Acclaimed Movies

And because Binge knows that you want to watch them when you want, they make them all available to stream across devices – anytime, anywhere. On that account, some of those include masterpieces like Hotel Portofino, Young Rock, Dynasty, This is Going to Hurt and so on.

The Revival of Rom-Com

Romantic comedies, or rom-com, have always been a staple in the movie industry. They are films that focus on the development of a romance between two characters, and they often have a happy ending. But over the years, they have become less popular with audiences.

Recently, however, there has been a revival of rom-com on streaming platforms such as Binge TV. This is partly due to the success of films such as The Fault in Our Stars and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. These films have shown that there is an audience out there waiting to watch these titles again and again!

Addictive True Crime Documentaries

Netflix has some great true crime documentaries, but for those of you that want something a little more addictive, Binge is the place to be. The Australian network has a wide variety of crime shows to keep you hooked for hours on end.

The first show that you should check out is The Wire, The Sopranos, Forensic Files, and more. Each series looks at murder cases where the perpetrator and victim are in a relationship. Moreover, each episode is filled with twists and turns, making it impossible to stop watching.

Local Productions

In recent years, Binge Australia has made a concentrated effort to produce more local content. This content is available to view on the Binge website and app and includes a variety of genres, such as comedy, drama, reality, and children’s programs.

It is the only streaming service in Australia that offers Australian content to users, and it has something for everyone. There are dramas, comedies, documentaries, and kids’ shows. Binge TV is also great for people who want to support Australian content.

A New Kind of Reality-TV

In a world where anyone can be famous, Binge TV brings you to the next level of reality TV. Watch real people with real problems living their lives in front of the camera. From dating to work drama, get an uncensored look at the highs and lows of everyday life.

Binge TV is the first network to air original reality programming 24/7. There’s always something entertaining to watch with episodes of shows from Survivor to RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Binge: Features and Improvements

Binge TV is an online over-the-top streaming service offering its users a wide range of TV shows and movies to watch. The service has been operating in Australia since May 2020 and has been steadily growing in popularity.

Binge TV offers a wide variety of content, including popular shows such as Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and The Big Bang Theory. Moreover, the app has recently been updated with several new features and improvements.

Some of the updates include a new design that makes it easier to find the content you want to watch and a new ‘Continue Watching’ section that allows you to pick up from where you left off. On that account, it’s similar to Netflix but has some key differences.

One of the key benefits of Binge is that it allows you to watch multiple episodes of a show in quick succession, but no offline downloading is available. This is perfect for people who want to watch their favorite shows without having to wait for another one, but only without downloading.

Binge TV is also available on various devices, including smartphones, tablets, PCs, smart TVs, and gaming consoles. Yet, there is a fluctuating lag once in a while with its device compatibility.

However, it distinctively offers a great selection of the latest Australian content.

Verdict: Is Binge Worth It?

Binge is an Australian streaming service by Foxtel that has received a lot of mixed reviews. On the one hand, it offers an impressive range of TV shows and movies for a low monthly price.

On the other hand, some users complain about the quality of the content and its limited selection of new releases.

So, is Binge worth it? In short, yes, it is. While it may not have the latest and greatest releases, Binge offers an extensive library of TV shows and movies from Foxtel that can be streamed at any time. And for just $10 a month!

Revival of the Rom-Com

Romantic comedies are making a comeback, and streaming services are leading the way. Lately, SBS on Demand has also been a big player in the revival of the rom-com genre.

In the past year, they’ve released several romantic comedies that have been successful both commercially and critically – such as The Beauty Inside, Five Flights Up, Eagle vs. Shark, and Heartbreaker.

Addictive True Crime Documentaries

One of the most popular genres on SBS on Demand is true crime documentaries. These documentaries explore real-life crimes, often featuring interviews with the people involved in the case. They can be extremely addictive to watch and often leave the viewer with more questions than answers.

Some of the most current true crime documentaries on SBS on Demand include Making a Murder, The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, and Crimes that Shook Australia.

Local Productions

SBS On Demand offers an eclectic mix of local and international content that can be streamed anytime. One of the great things about SBS On Demand is that it offers a range of local productions that you won’t find anywhere else.

These include shows like The Family Law, The Wedge, and First Contact. So if you’re interested in Australian culture and want to see some great Aussie content, SBS on Demand is perfect for it!

A New Kind of Reality-TV

Along with other amazing content, SBS on Demand also has a plethora of Reality-TV shows that highlight social as well as cultural issues in an informative and entertaining way. Such as Alone, Going Places with Ernie Dingo, One Star Reviews, and Family Rules.

Choose Your Own Adventure

Lastly, this Australian streaming service offers a range of TV shows and movies that you can watch at your leisure. But what makes it more noteworthy is the fact that you can choose your own adventure.

This means that you can select different episodes or movies to create your own personalized viewing experience. You can also easily access subtitles in many languages, so you can enjoy your chosen content no matter what language you speak.

SBS on Demand: Features and Improvements

An online streaming service, SBS on Demand has the biggest and greatest feature of offering full episodes of TV shows, movies, and documentaries without a subscription. It is free and can be accessed on any internet-enabled device or TV.

The On-Demand website is simple to use and replicates the same template as most other similar services. You’ll begin on a ‘Featured’ page, but sections at the top of the page allow you to navigate to ‘Programs,’ ‘Movies,’ ‘Channels,’ ‘News,’ and ‘Sport’ to find the content you prefer to watch.

The application is also very simple to use. It’s very adaptable and downscales to any device that it is visited from. Moreover, its easy-to-navigate interface also highlights the broad range of titles on offer.

Additionally, the picture quality is also good and automatically adjusts based on bandwidth, but it’s slightly blocky because 720p is the nearest thing to HD you’ll probably see.

Since a lot of features have been discussed, there are some improvements too that SBS on Demand needs to consider. Most importantly, it should work on the resolution and definition of videos as it should be more than 720p for a good user experience.

Secondly, the long ads make users want to throw their devices against the walls because it disrupts the flow of entertainment.

For instance, an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine with two times of 2-minute ad breaks takes all the fun out of an episode’s comedic momentum, especially since it starts with 30 seconds of ads. And lastly, there should be an option for multiple user profiles.

Verdict: Is SBS on Demand Worth It?

The verdict? SBS on Demand is definitely worth it! The service has a great selection of content, including many popular TV shows and movies. The news and sports offerings are excellent and provide great value for zero cost. Overall, SBS on Demand is a great option for Australian streaming fans.

However, if ads and resolution bother you, SBS on Demand, an ad-supported streaming service with a maximum resolution of 720p, may not be for you. Furthermore, if you expect to find a lot of American and British titles on SBS on-demand, you won’t find many of them.

The Revival of Rom-Com

Romantic comedies, or rom-coms, were once one of the most popular movie genres. But their popularity began to decline in the late 2000s. Yet again, there was a revival of the genre with titles like The Big Sick and Lady Bird.

This resurgence of the rom-com genre is reflected in many streaming services’ programming choices. For example, Foxtel Now also has a “Romance” category that features classic and contemporary rom-com titles.

Addictive True Crime Documentaries

There is nothing quite like settling in for a night of chilling crime documentaries on Foxtel Now. From serial killers to mysteries, these programs are designed to keep you hooked from beginning to end.

Local Productions

The popular streaming service offers a variety of content, including live and on-demand TV, movies, and sport. Yet, one of the most interesting aspects of Foxtel Now is its focus on local productions.

There are many great local productions available on Foxtel Now, including A Place to Call Home, Wentworth, and The Wrong Girl. These productions offer a unique perspective on Australian culture and society.

A New Kind of Reality-TV

Foxtel Now is shaking up the reality TV genre with shows that blur the line between fact and fiction. For example, the Real Housewives of Melbourne follows the lives of six wealthy women who live in Melbourne’s most prestigious suburb, Brighton.

Hence, this flexibility is a major selling point for Foxtel Now. In an age where people are becoming time-poor, the ability to watch what you want, when you want, is a major draw.

Foxtel Now: Features and Improvements

We know how Foxtel Now offers a wide variety of content, including live and on-demand TV, sport, and movies. But the thing about Foxtel Now is that it doesn’t need a contract or installation. Instead, you can access it from your Foxtel account and start streaming.

Recently, Foxtel Now made some more improvements to its service. These include a new user interface and Chromecast support. Likewise, the new user interface makes it easier to find the content you like to watch.

Thankfully, Foxtel Now has also added closed captions to its content. Previously, only a limited number of Foxtel’s channels had closed captions available. This new addition means that all Foxtel’s content is now accessible to those who need it.

Verdict: Is Foxtel Now Worth It?

There are diverse streaming services available, and it can be hard to decide which one is right for you. Foxtel Now is the popular local streaming service, but is it worth the price?

The service is a great alternative to traditional Foxtel, as it doesn’t need a satellite dish or installation. You can compare the service with other giants like Netflix, Stan, and Kayo Sports in the Australian market too. Yet, you can get more options with great features at the price of Foxtel Now.

Kayo Sports is a streaming service in Australia that offers live and on-demand sports streaming. You can watch any sport, anytime, anywhere, on any device.

It is also perfect for die-hard sports fans. Because it helps them save all the time and hassle to search for a channel showing recent sports events. Thus, Kayo Sports is giving a direct competition to Foxtel for the viewers in Australia.

It launched in November 2018 and has been very successful, with over 100,000+ subscribers in its first month. Notably, it is not only a sports service plus offers a wide selection of movies and TV shows.

On the other hand, Foxtel has been around for a long time and has a loyal customer base. So naturally, the question arises in one’s mind. With so many streaming services out there, is Kayo Sports the best?

In this article, we will look at what makes Kayo Sports stand out from the rest. Also, we will compare it to some of its biggest rivals.

Kayo Sports Content

Kayo Sports has a range of content exclusive to the service and has been making waves in the Australian market. Now, it’s marketed as a service for ‘sports mad’ people. Hence, it successfully signed up a large number of users since its launch.

Kayo Sports Australia Vs USA Vs Canada Vs the UK

There are contrasting ways to look at how the Kayo Sports content differs in Australia, the UK, the USA, and Canada. Firstly, the available sports differ depending on the country.

For example, Kayo offers cricket, football (soccer), rugby, basketball, and netball in Australia. While in the UK, you will find there is more coverage for football (soccer), darts, and horse racing.

In the United States, the focus shifts to American football, baseball, and basketball. Finally, you see more ice hockey, lacrosse, tennis, and other sports in Kayo for Canada.

Important to note, you need to take this into account when localizing your Kayo Sports content for different countries.

For example, people are more likely to watch sports matches or events live in Australia. Whereas in the UK and the USA, there is more focus on highlights and analysis shows.

Critically Acclaimed Movies

If you’re a movie buff, then you’ll love Kayo Sports. Not only they have a huge selection of the latest movies, but they also have a selection of critically acclaimed films. So there are many award-winning movies available to watch on Kayo Sports.

Some of them include The King’s Speech, The Help, The Wolf of Wall Street, and La La Land. These are some amazing movies to watch if you are looking for entertainment and inspiration.

Universally Beloved Series

Kayo Sports has had a lot of success in a short amount of time. The reason that helps Kayo Sports stand out is – its content strategy. The company focused on creating universally loved series that have helped it attract a large number of viewers.

One example is the series called The Rugby Club. This series follows the journey of a group of young rugby players as they make their way to the top.

Revival of the Lesser Known Games

Kayo Sports is one-of-a-kind sports streaming service that also broadcasts lesser-known games that are not aired on free-to-air TV. Such as the Super Netball in Australia, the J.League in Japan, and the A-League in Australia.

In this way, they have a range of content that is specific to their service:

Kayo Originals: These are exclusive, original pieces of content that Kayo Sports produce. They range from documentaries to highlight reels and are all about sports not typically available to watch on TV.

Kayo Minors: This section of the service airs live and on-demand coverage of games that are not as popular as mainstream tournaments and live streaming.

Addictive True Sports Documentaries

Kayo Sports has a range of documentary content available to its subscribers. This content includes feature-length documentaries on a variety of sports and shorter ones on specific topics or events.

It adds more to the popularity of Kayo Sports for bringing different content to the service.

Some of Kayo’s most popular documentaries include The 18th Man: Inside Story of the Cronulla Sharks Suppression Order, The Champions: The Story of the FIFA World Cup, Barry: the Making of the Legend, etc.

Local Productions

Kayo Sports is a great way to watch local productions of sporting events. For example, the Australian Open is available on Kayo Sports. You can watch the matches live as they happen or watch them on-demand later.

Kayo also launched its first slate of local productions, made exclusively for Kayo Sports. The productions are a mix of live and pre-recorded content.

It covers a range of topics such as sports betting, the culture of the sport, interviews with athletes, and sporting legends.

A New Kind of Reality-TV

Kayo Sports is shaking up the traditional reality TV genre. Rather than competing for ratings by airing the most outrageous and dramatic footage, Kayo Sports focuses on high-quality content that will keep people engaged.

Now, Reality TV on Kayo Sports also takes the sport to a whole new level. You can watch matches and races as if you were there alongside the commentary team.

One can also choose between two vantage points – the sideline or the commentary box – to get the most out of your experience.

Choose Your Own Adventure

Kayo Sports also lets you choose your own adventure when it comes to sports to create a customized viewing experience. You can pick and choose the sports, games, and events you want to watch without paying for channels that you’ll never use.

It is also a great option for sports fans who want more control over what they watch. You can create your own personalized sports feed over the teams and sports you love.

Kayo Sports: Features and Improvements

Kayo Sports is a streaming platform for sports that offers two features that are not available on traditional TV. First is the availability to watch sport in HD, and the second is the facility to watch sport on demand.

Kayo Sports has been criticized for its high price point and its lack of content when compared to traditional television. Yet, the platform signed deals with several sporting organizations, including the AFL, NRL, and Cricket Australia.

Moreover, the streaming service offers a great selection of Australian Codes and international cricket, golf, and tennis.

With that, one of the reasons for Kayo Sports’ success is its low price point. It is much cheaper than Foxtel, which has been around for much longer.

Kayo Sports also offers a great range of features, including split view, picture-in-picture mode, hide scores, etc. You can also personalize your experience by choosing your favorite teams and sports.

Verdict: Is Kayo Sports Worth It?

The question on everyone’s mind is whether or not Kayo Sports is worth the price. The monthly subscription price for Kayo Sports is $25, which is more expensive than other streaming services such as Netflix and Stan.

Yet, it is worth noting that Kayo Sports offers a much better range of content when it comes to sport. So there’s no doubt that Kayo Sports is one of the most impressive sports services in the world.

Boasting an impressive array of features and a large library of content, it’s no wonder how many people flocked to it.

Stan is a subsidiary of Nine Entertainment Co. and launched in early 2015. It is gaining popularity but is still not as well known as Netflix.

And even though there are many competitor streaming services, the selection of Stan’s Australian content is unbeatable.

The battle between streaming services like Stan, Foxtel Now, and Netflix is heating up in Australia. In March 2017, Netflix announced it had reached 4.9 million subscribers in Australia, while Stan claimed to have over 1 million.

Yet both the services are investing heavily in original content, with Stan producing local content such as No Activity and Wolf Creek to compete with Netflix’s popular shows such as Stranger Things and The Crown.

On top of that, the main difference that makes Stan stand out is the ad-free streaming for users. Moreover, in Australia, the streaming service has offered a range of new content deals and exclusives.

It has included deals with the BBC, Channel 4, and MGM. Stan also secured the rights to stream the Star Trek TV series ahead of Netflix. This deal was seen as a major coup for Stan, as they secured a key exclusive that Netflix would have been keen to have.

Pros and Cons of Stan

Stan TV Australia is one of the most popular streaming services in Australia. But a few things make Stan TV Australia stand out from the rest of the streaming services.

• Unbeatable compatibility with devices

Prime Video is a part of Amazon’s Prime subscription service, including free shipping on Amazon orders, music streaming, and other benefits.

But if you’re looking for a good all-around video streaming service that has something for everyone, Prime Video Australia is a great option.

There’s a bit of everything to keep everyone entertained, and the quality of content is generally very high. You can also watch Prime Video content on various devices, including smart TVs, mobile devices, and gaming consoles. Plus, there are no ads!

But this was after years of speculation and anticipation about when the streaming giant would make its way down under. And there was the hype surrounding the launch. People wondered if it would be able to compete with the likes of Netflix and Stan.

But when it comes to streaming movies, there are a few big contenders in the game. Netflix, Stan, and Amazon Prime Video are the main players, with each having its unique selling points. So in this article, we’re going to take a look at Prime Video and what it has to offer Australians.

Pros and Cons of Prime Video

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you’ll be able to access Prime Video content in Australia. This review will argue the pros and cons of the service so that you can decide whether or not it’s worth your money.

Pros

• Large selection of TV shows and movies
• Over the top HD video quality
• Offline streaming available
• Tailored and personalized recommendations
• User-friendly interface

Cons

• High cost compared to other services
• Content selection is limited

Prime Video Price

With a library of movies and TV shows and its original programming, Amazon Prime Video is a strong competitor to Netflix and Stan. The service launched with a free trial period and then cost $6.99 per month moving forward.

Hence, Prime Video Australia offers quite a low price when you compare it to Netflix. Netflix charges $10.99 per month, which is almost twice the price of Prime Video Australia.

But there’s no doubt that Netflix offers a more range of movies and TV shows than Prime Video.

But the price of the service is only fair because Prime Video also has a much bigger library of children’s content. Additionally, Prime members can access free shipping on Amazon purchases, while Netflix members cannot.

So you can either pay for a monthly subscription or yearly subscription and save money. Apart from its monthly subscription, the yearly subscription costs $59.99 per year. It is a great deal because the US version of Prime Video costs $99 per year.

Therefore, with over 200+ million members and available in more countries than Netflix, Prime Video offers plenty of packages for its subscribers.

Prime Video Content

In March of 2018, Amazon made its Prime Video service available in Australia. This was great news for Aussie Prime members, who now had access to all original programming that the service is known for.

There’s something for everyone, from The Grand Tour to The Man in the High Castle the library has something for every member of the family.

Prime Video Australia Vs UK Vs Canada Vs the USA

Amazon Prime Video is a streaming service with over 3000+ libraries of movies and TV shows. Likewise, in December 2017, Amazon announced that Prime Video would be available in more than 200 countries and territories.

Yet, the content on Prime Video differs depending on which country it is accessed from. For example, the US version has more shows and movies from HBO. Yet, the Australian Prime Video has content from local networks like Stan, A&E Networks, and Showtime.

With that, the Prime Video library is missing some of the most popular movies, such as The Incredibles 2 and Thor: Ragnarok. But even so, it has a large selection of Australian TV shows and local productions for its subscribers.

Critically Acclaimed Movies

If you’re looking for a movie that has been critically acclaimed, Prime Video Australia has a wide range of them. In addition, you can find movies that have won Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and other prestigious awards.

The title includes The Big Sick, which is a romantic comedy about the real-life relationship of the movie’s writers.

Some series on Prime Video Australia are binge-worthy and universally beloved. Shows that have universal appeal transcend age, gender, and culture.

Some examples of universally loved series on Prime Video Australia include Game of Thrones, Friends, and The Office.

These shows are all critically acclaimed and have a large fan base. Moreover, they are all available to watch on Prime Video Australia.

Revival of the Rom-Com

The rom-com is back, and this time it’s on Prime Video Australia. As we all know, the genre was around for a long time but seemed to have kicked up a notch in recent years. This is likely due to the current social landscape, making many people long for a good old-fashioned love story.

Thus, Prime Video Australia has recognized this trend and started to produce its original rom-com. These include The Aftermath and The Hook Up Plan. These new shows are quickly gaining popularity and reminding people of happier times.

Addictive True Crime Documentaries

True crime documentaries are a great option if you’re looking for a good, addictive show to watch on Prime Video Australia. There are so many different titles to choose from. The Staircase, The Jinx, and Making a Murderer are some of the best ones.

These award-winning documentaries are fascinating to watch because they’re all based on real-life cases. You never know what’s going to happen next. And you can’t help but keep watching to find out what happens next.

Local Productions

In early 2018, Amazon Prime Video Australia announced the launch of its local production slate, which included new and original Australian content.

The first announced show was a drama series called The Legend of Monkey, a co-production between ABC Australia and NZ’s TV3.

Since then, Prime Video also announced several other Australian productions, including Picnic at Hanging Rock (a reimagining of the classic Peter Weir film), and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (a comedy-drama set in the 1950s New York City), among many titles.

A New Kind of Reality-TV

In a world where folks are glued to their screens, it’s no wonder that reality TV is one of the most popular genres. People love watching other people’s lives unfold before their eyes. But what happens when the line between reality and TV starts to blur?

Prime Video Australia answers that question with its collection of shows like The Real World. It follows a set of young people as they move into a house together and live their everyday lives.

Following another release of an Australian reality TV Show that is making waves is, The Marrying Type.

Choose Your Own Adventure

It can be hard to stand out in a world of endless entertainment options. But that’s exactly what Australian streaming service Prime Video Australia did in late 2018 after launching its Choose Your Own Adventure feature.

The style allows Prime Video Australia users to pick their own viewing experience by selecting one of two different endings for each episode. Likewise, this viewing was also popularized by Netflix with its release of Bandersnatch in December 2018.

Prime Video: Features and Improvements

Prime Video is a feature that comes with Amazon Prime memberships. The members receive access to a library of movies and TV shows to watch at no additional cost.

In addition, Prime members can watch original programming that is only available on Prime Video.

At the same time, Amazon has recently made some improvements to Prime Video. These improvements include the ability to download shows and movies for offline viewing.

This is also a great feature for people who watch Prime programming when they don’t have access to an internet connection.

Prime Video also offers TV shows and movies for rent or purchase. Moreover, it also offers Amazon Prime memberships with additional benefits – such as access to Kindle Lending Library and early access to select Amazon Prime Day deals.

The biggest change is that Prime Video is offering an ad-free experience over certain content. It is a big drawcard for many people, as ads can be extremely frustrating, especially when trying to watch your favorite show.

Verdict: Is Prime Video Worth It?

Netflix, Stan, and Prime Video are all vying for your hard-earned cash when it comes to streaming services. Netflix is the most expensive of the three, with Stan coming in as a close second.

And yet Prime Video is the cheapest of the three and offers a lot of the same content as Netflix and Stan. So, what’s the verdict?

It depends on what you opt for from your streaming service. If you want the widest range of features and access to original content, then Prime Video is for you.
